On Wednesday afternoon, the Cardiovascular Care Center (CVCC) team decided to put him back on an oxygen assistance in an effort to keep all of his stats consistent. We were able to spend most of the day holding and loving him up.
In preparation for the the surgery on Thursday morning, we met with Dr. Overman, Cully's surgeon. Dr. Overman reassured us that he is very confident in the approach they have identified, including, repairing the anomoly with his pulmonary veins.
This morning (Thursday, Oct. 31) Cully, was intubated and received a couple new IVs in preparation for surgery.
He is currently resting comfortably awaiting the beginning of his first surgery at 8:30 a.m., which is expected to last 6 hours.
As always, please keep Cully in your thoughts and prayers.
Love you all so much! Thinking about you lots. Hope Cully is having great dreams of playing with his sister and family during his surgery!
